Illini rally around Chester Frazier
March 13, 2009 11:03 PM
"That stinks what happened to Chester Frazier, man," one Big Ten assistant said before the Illinois game. "That kid plays his (butt) off for that team. Too bad for him."
Michigan State's Travis Walton, who beat out Frazier for the Big Ten's Defensive Player of the Year award, was stunned when he learned Frazier was injured.
"What, he's out?" Walton asked as his jaw hit the floor. "I know he's their heart and soul so that's going to be tough."
