Illini leave us wondering to the very end

You come into the NCAA tournament wanting to see a team's best. For Illinois, that means Meacham making three-pointers, and he did. He scored 24 points.
But it also meant guard Demetri McCamey and forward Mike Davis, both sophomores, peaking. McCamey has been criticized for his on-again, off-again effort. And Davis, the most talented player on the team, is the one guy capable of pulling out a game like this.
Instead, McCamey was gone. Again, as he was in the Big Ten tournament. Davis had his rebounds but didn't have a consistent presence. This team goes as far as its three sophomores, apparently, and the third one is 7-foot center Mike Tisdale.
He had one rebound.
And zero points.
