Liuget becoming key part of Illinois' defensive stronghold
April 18, 2009 9:52 PM
The 6-foot-3, 294-pound Liuget (pronounced "legit") grew into a key element at one of the team's strongholds. The Illini will be strong in the middle: Senior Sirod Williams is back for his fifth season after overcoming a season-ending knee injury suffered in Camp Rantoul last August, and sophomore Josh Brent is expected to return to the team after the court process is completed following his arrest for driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license.
"We're going to be the main three getting it on,'' Liuget said. "We're going to be rocking.''
Liuget is a combination of size, quickness and technique that's unusual for an underclassman.
