Zook's expecting big things from Illini

"I'm excited to see what we've learned," Zook said on Monday, during the first of the Big Ten media days. "I think the last couple years we've kind of been up and down.

"Two years ago, coming off the Rose Bowl year, I had expectations, and I made the comment, and I believe it today, that we were going to be a better football team the next year. We didn't reach those expectations. I think that's part of the program. That's part of the process. Part of what it takes is you have to teach them how to win, and then you have to teach them how to sustain that. I'm excited to see whether we've learned that or not. I believe we have. We had a great offseason."
