Tyler Griffey turns heads with more playing time

Coach Bruce Weber has been duly impressed. He said repeatedly in January that the 6-foot-9 forward deserved more playing time, but he never seemed to find a way to give him minutes. His solution was to put him in the starting lineup, even if he only ended up playing 10 to 12 minutes.

"I've said all year that Tyler is the biggest surprise in the freshman group,'' Weber said. "He probably didn't get the minutes he deserved. I said all along, if I made one error I could have corrected it was to get him involved more.''
