This year's team seemed dull, uninterested, and unhappy, and that's how they played

Leopards don't change their spots, and BW will never be personable or innovative or naturally open to new approaches. He is who he is, for the most part, but he can improve, if he recognizes the need.

With better talent and more of it, providing depth, things will get better. My fear is that Bruce will try to keep the lid on too tight, be too controlling, and that will hold the program down.

Someone said that BW puts the system ahead of the individual. Obviously, a coach can't let the players run things, but still needs to recognize and encourage individuality. It has to be fun and players have to have some freedom. If it's all about the system and force fitting players into it, restricting their natural tendencies and getting them to conform, the machinery starts to grind, the fun goes out of it, and it's just no fun.
