Random thoughts 8 games into the season

You could kind of see 2007 coming (I won a bet that we'd go bowling that year). And 2001 had some momentum as well (Brandon Lloyd returning and "why not Illinois?"). But I have to admit I didn't see this one coming. I knew the defense would be better, but 12th in the nation in scoring defense? This was all supposed to happen in 2011. At least in my mind. Which is why...

I can't stop thinking about next year. Yes, I know -- enjoy the ride. This year might be better. Right now we're on a "play Arkansas in the Gator Bowl" track. I get all of that. But I can't stop thinking about next year.
