As Demetri McCamey and his fellow seniors trudged off the floor in their final college game, Bruce Weber thanked each of them.
Then he told the young guys what is next for them.
"If you want a special moment like this, you've got to be prepared and put in that effort beyond just practice, beyond just weights, beyond just conditioning in the summer," Weber said of his message after No. 1 Kansas beat No. 9 Illinois 73-59 in the Round of 32 Sunday at the BOK Center.
"It's got to be a special effort."
