Richmond sits again but has teammates' support

The violation remains undiscussed. Illinois refused to announce his status before Sunday's loss to Kansas. And Richmond was nowhere to be found in the locker room after the win over UNLV or the season-ending defeat.
But coach Bruce Weber and two outgoing seniors threw their support to the talented forward, who went through some growing pains this season.
"He's going to mature. He's only 18 years old," senior Mike Davis said. "What do you expect? When I was young I was just like that. It takes time to mature. We're working with him. He's going to be fine. I love him like a brother, and he's going to get through this tough time, come back and have a great year."
