So much talent, too much drama

Unpredictable, that's what will define Richmond's long association with the Illini, one that can now be summed up in three numbers: 52, 31 and 6.
Richmond was part of the Illini basketball program for 52 months, since he verbally committed to coach Bruce Weber in November of 2006 while still at Winnetka North Shore Country Day High School. After a four-year wait, he ended up playing in 31 games and started six of them.
And now...Pffft!...gone.
It was interesting to see how the announcement was presented Tuesday afternoon, all wrapped in orange and blue political correctness with both Richmond and Weber hugging and kissing on the way out the door.
