University of Illinois release: Trulon Henry will miss remainder of the season

University of Illinois senior football student-athleteTrulon Henry was injured in a off-campus shooting early Sunday morning (Nov. 13) in Urbana. Henry, a two-year starter for the Fighting Illini, was shot in the hand and underwent surgery. He will miss the remainder of the regular season, and his status for a possible bowl appearance is unknown.
Henry, who was not originally at the party, was called by a teammate to help encourage players at the party to leave. Henry was one of three people shot.
Henry, a native of Washington D.C., was a starting outside linebacker this season after starting all 13 games as a safety in 2010. He is ninth on the team with 39 tackles and is tied for the team lead with two interceptions.
