  1. Marp(LH)-3B
  2. Piscotty(RH)-1B
  3. Holliday(RH)-LF
  4. J-Hey(LH)-RF
  5. Peralta(RH)-SS
  6. Grichuk(RH)-CF
  7. Wong(LH)-2B
  8. Molina(RH)-C
  9. Lackey(RH)-P

What does everyone think of this?

I think you nailed it! Like a couple others said I believe Heyward will be in center to protect Grichuk as much as possible.

So, how's everyone feeling? I'm trying really hard to be excited and have fun with this, but I'm nervous as heck.

Lester is considerably better on the road - 2.93 ERA, .211 OBA, and .336 OSLG%. He has a lower OBA against righties than lefties, but righties push SLG and OBP. He does allow more walks to righties. Going through the stats, I would go with this game 1 lineup:
  1. Marp(LH)-3B
  2. Piscotty(RH)-1B
  3. Holliday(RH)-LF
  4. J-Hey(LH)-RF
  5. Peralta(RH)-SS
  6. Grichuk(RH)-CF
  7. Wong(LH)-2B
  8. Molina(RH)-C
  9. Lackey(RH)-P

What does everyone think of this?

You nailed it.

I'm getting ready to go for a 1.5-2.5 hour bike ride. I need to get this game off my mind right now. It's 64 outside with 13 mph wind. It's gonna be chilly for this bike ride

I'm nervous, but no more than I am for any other playoff series we have been in. I just don't feel like dealing with their fans, but since I live where I live, it is what it is. I'm getting it from the cubbie blue faithful and the weight of Sox nation.

I saw that there's a Sox bar somewhere in Chicago that is advertising free beers for patrons for every Cardinals home run.

Very clever, lucky for their business we don't hit too many homers.

Is signing Colby Rasmus back an option? Dude is playing unreal right now for the Stros

Just popped in to say good luck and may the best team win! Should be a great series, try to enjoy the ride.

Way less nervous about this series now. Great game.

Wow. Was not expecting a shutout, but I'll take it! Glad to see the rooks come up clutch. Weird Matheny yanked Lackey when dude was mowing through people.

John freaking lackey. What can you say? Freaking stud who you want on the mound in a big game.

Oh yeah, the rooks don't play like rooks. The question is - will Pham start in center tomorrow, and Grichuk come off the bench?

WOW. I can't believe it either. This is why we pay him the big bucks (lol). Its crazy when you compare Lackey's 500,000 to Lester's 4,000,000. The Cards make great financial decisions and have great scouts. From the bottom the system is working.

Tonight. Game.

Was at Ballpark Village tonight, not a group better than the STL faithful. Lackey pitched his butt off and the cards do what the cards do and find runs. SEE YOU TMRW NIGHT!!! LETS GET UP 2-0

My numbers are wrong but you get the idea. :)

Tomorrow night will be a battle. I personally like Jamie. I think he's been an excellent pitcher since coming back into form after his injury. Im glad the Cards didn't give up on him.
