If the Cards go ahead and lose this series, it's gonna take me a long time to get over today's game. A long, long time.

Yep, today was the worst possible way to lose IMO. Playing a young team that couldn't do anything in the first game, you have to make them earn it.

I wonder if Lynn coming in means Wainwright may be the game 4 starter.

I think he put Lynn in because he didnt want to waste a reliever. The pitchers spot was coming up so why not have Lynn pitch an inning, pinch hit and then put in the long reliever (Villanueva).

I think we'll grind out a couple runs off Arrietta. The question is, will we get normal Wacha or September Wacha? Hopefully the wind is blowing in today, i think that favors us.

I totally agree. I bet we grind a good game against Arrietta. I just hope out pitching holds up. Especially in relief.

Do you guys think we save Wainwright for a possible start, or keep him in the pen?

Good strikeout by Wacha. He needed that. Through 3, I'm pretty happy. The strike zone is all over the place

Wonder why the play by play guy doesn't have the same excitement level for Heyward as he did for Cubs hrs

This is frustrating. Probably would be easier to take if we hadn't hit Arrieta.

Glad Lackey is going tomorrow. I like that match up and the chances.

Game 5 would be Johnny Wholestaff vs. Lester. That is a matchup I do not like..

Assuming he's over his stomach virus, perhaps Garcia? I'm sure he would love to try to make amends for the disaster in game 2.

I sorta thought we'd lose tonight, thought that on sat. The moment tonight would have been really tough to overcome. First home playoff game in a long time for the cubs. The fact we even got to Arrietta was pretty awesome. Without Carlos, our pitching just doesn't have the same bite. Having said that, lackey tomorrow is our best shot. If he goes down, the cubs would have earned the series. But, I don't think he goes down

I think we get this back to st. Louis (see Royals)

Yeah it should be Garcia. And it would be really nice to rest Waino tomorrow so he could go 3 or 4 innings if necessary.

I'm just praying the wind is blowing in tomorrow. We can't beat them in a home run derby.

For what it is worth, it looks like wind is forecast to come across the field (WNW) for most of the day, West is towards right field, yesterday was from SW (towards center)
