How the heck did Iowa overcome a 24 pt Purdue lead in the second half to beat them by 7 pts. in WL. Iowa with a win @ home against Sparty and now a road victory @ Purdue.

I am so, absolutely sick of Iowa. They suck for almost a decade then have 3 slightly above average seasons and now their fans act like they're Kentucky. Makes it even worse that since they became somewhat good, we've been terrible.

I watched the entire game. The biggest lead Purdon't had was 19, but still incredible. They scored 50 in the second half to PU's 26. Iowa really impressed me.

Iowa might actually be the best team in the B10, oddly enough. Or at least replacing Wisky on the Top 4 line, with Mich St, Maryland and Purdue. At least it ain't Indiana, but man, it's close.

I was wrong. I thought somebody said it was 46-22 @ one point. Upon review of ESPN play by play, largest Purdue lead in 2nd half was 40-22 @ 19:04 mark of second half. You are right Iowa impressed. It was a Purdue 19 pt lead in first half though.

Had the pleasure of traveling with my son to Cincinnati to see the Bearcats play Tulsa at the Fifth Third Arena (he's obsessed with malls and escalators, and we like combining both into an annual road trip).

Cincinnati is ranked in the Top 25 and they showed it against an inferior opponent. Great interior defense; the Golden Hurricanes had 1 FG in the first 12 minutes and couldn't drive to the basket to save their lives. The stadium was filled and rocking, but damn, every single foul call turned the crowd to Kentucky fans. Most of those fouls 'were' legit.

Always looking at the scrolling scores, was bummed to see Iowa State lose to Oklahoma (always liked the Cyclones, despite the thumping they did on Illinois). And Eastern Illinois got their first conference victory! I'll take it, cause they've been bumming me out at the low major level like UofI has been at the high major level.

You're right, it was in the first half, with only a couple of minutes until halftime. When it hit 19 I thought to myself, "I wonder if they have a comeback in them?" They surely did. Also noteworthy was that it was "Rick Mount Night." I'm old enough to remember watching him play, though I was very young. Possibly the best shooter I ever watched. Apparently he's been estranged from the team for quite awhile. One speculation is that he felt his son never got a chance for meaningful playing time before transferring out.

Wow, saw the first half score of Iowa @ Purdue and figured that one was over. That'll shake things up a bit!

Tell me about it, try living here in Iowa, it would make you even more sick:(

I do live in Iowa now. After this football season they just had I challenge anybody to find a more unbearable fan base. Has to be the most delusional fan base in America. So ready for them to just suck at basketball again though. What a great 8 years that was. From '06 to '14 you didn't really hear a peep from Iowa bball fans. Now they literally wil not shut up about how great they are. To me, them being good is almost as frustrating as us losing all our players to injury. As you can tell, I REALLY hate Iowa hahaha

I understand, I have to cross the border and work in Iowa every day. Their fan base is one of the most obnoxious bunch of idiots around.c
Do you live near Burlington, IA or Stronghurst, IL perhaps? If you don't mind me asking. Crossing the bridge for work was a major factor in me moving to Iowa.

I live in Warsaw and work out of Keokuk, but I travel SE Iowa and have co-workers throughout Iowa.

Boy you aren't kidding. I live in the quad cities (live in IL, work in IA) and they have the biggest group of front-running fans I have ever seen. The last year or so they've acted like they're Pete carolls USC teams and Dukes basketball team.

Indiana has the easiest slate in the B1G, unfortunately, so they'll be right there. Only play Purdue, Maryland and Sparty once each.

The schedule is a huge friend, but they do have two problems.
They aren't very good defensively and CREAN.

All the people that work in Iowa, just send those fans some video of the Stanford band. That'll get em! Oh wait, they will say you're creating a hostile work environment!
