On pace to give up 80 again. Lack of defense is killing this team, along with relying on the 3 and not attacking the basket.

At the game. Diagnosis:

1) Too many jumpshots
2) Asleep on defense

Game plan needs tweaked. Need more dribble drive and moving feet on D.

Asleep on defensive rebounding more than anything. Get some of those and our defense looks a lot better.

Don't mind the three's but who and when they are taking the shots is questionable. Also should have gone to the zone press much earlier. Also the blocking off on offensive boards is terrible.

At the game. Ok start, but 18-9 finish after being tied 21-21. Really bad stretch of basketball there. Poor defense, chuck a three ball, poor rebounding. The Illinois kids for NE hurt us early, but been their other guys since then.

Not sure what Groce didn't like about Watson or maybe Watson really wasn't interested. Morrow is a nice player but understand why we passed on him given other guys on the roster.

Sometimes easier to box out bigger guys who don't move around as much (PU). Nebby's guys, no doubt off what any good scouting report for us would stress, are hustling and on the move for O RBs. We have to stop watching the shots going up and get our arses on a man.

Unfortunately, it's unlikely that we'll ever know the truth, which leaves it open to a lot of message board conjecture.

That being said, he sure looks capable for a freshman...
