Just got home a bit ago, and watched the game on DVR. It may sound like hyperbole, but there are not that many times I have felt prouder of our guys.

This is the antithesis of the past few years when the team has faded. If there is reason to hope for Groce as our future, this is it. Guys fought, defended, and didn't cave when Iowa made the inevitable run.

I don't know if we'll go farther, but even if we don't, today was a fantastic way to (almost...still believing) close out the season. I am from the QC's, so this is even sweeter!

What a great game! I kind of feel sorry for Jok, he's a great kid and didn't deserve to be on the bench for end of the game. But shite happens, I'll take it!

And JCL, congrats! This is just the beginning for him, and I love the fact that he is more than just a shooter. Can't wait to see what he can do the next 3 years.

Loved listening to the Iowa call on the radio in the second half. Nothing beats Illinois defeating Iowa and hearing Gary Dolphin and Bobby Hansen cry.

First post, glad to see us pick up a big W today! Great resiliency by the team, they never stop playing hard and that's admirable. :thumb:

So ............

1) Win over Minni was largest margin in BT tournament history
2) In game against Minni, made the highest number of 3pointers
3) Today JCL breaks 3pointers record held by Cory

Not a bad tournament for a banged up team.

I thought Austin played pretty well, actually....Using up some fouls kept our other guys in the game. Plus, he hit a 2 down the stretch and took that charge..Those 2 plays right there, huge.
