Congrats to Tilmon and LaLu. Didn't see game , but looks like they had great 4th quarter and finish. Checked out box score and surprised Montverde played 10 players and only had one over 20 minutes (Cham)....which seems strange, particularly for a HS.

So is Tilmon going to commit tomorrow right after the championship win? On national TV during his post game interview he says "Oh by the way, I'm committing to the University of Illinois (puts on Illini hat)".

A guy can dream, right?

Cubby, I think your count is off by one number lol.

That last five minutes of the first half took ten years off my life. The Montverde coach was hilarious. Every trip down he had a hernia looking expression on his face asking a different ref why there was 24, then 25, then 26 fouls. His back up center came in with two fouls and played 3.2 seconds to get his third. Only thing worse than the fouls was Montverde's free throw shooting. :thumb: It was the Fernando dude that they just talked about. They showed him go back to the bench with a WTF look on his face.

Seems to me that most of Montverde players will struggle with foul trouble if the don't understand the rules of ncaa. They are very handy and pushy and I think the entire team could of fouled out if that was called in high school

La Lumerie was most impressive on Hustle.

Montverde took 30 more shots this game grabbed 27 rebounds and forced 17 turnovers but were brick layers at the charity stripe.

The talent on the floor was very impressive on both sides of the ball and I am sure the referees have never had such a group of talented players on the floor at one time and it showed.

Very impressed with this Tourney.

Wow...hard to believe a HS team can lose with 30 more shots than opposition.

I'd be interested to see how Stevens Point would be able to handle these teams. I'm not sure they could win, but they definitely wouldn't get blown out.

Did you watch the game? If not, Montverde had a ton of tall, long athletes, but only one of them, Potter, a stretch 4 going to Ohio State, could shoot. LaLu had enough bigs to help lessen their length and athleticism and the ball handling to handle their press.

Didn't watch it but looked at box score...18 of 70 fg, 3 of 28 3p, and 8 of 26 FT from a #1 seed is pretty shocking!...looked like de sousa (soph PF) had a good game too.... 7 of 10 in 12 minutes of playing time.

He did. He reminded me a little of a young Blake Griffin. Plays really hard, athletic, not very skilled, and gets most of his points at the rim. Simmi Sittu also plays on the team and looked pretty good.

Simmi Shittu looked very skilled. There weren't many players in that game I would reject.

His biggest issue was attitude. In particular he was screaming at one of his teammates for a solid 30-a min of game time up and down the court for not passing him the ball. Regardless of whether he was right it was not the type of behavior you want to see. You can be heated or upset for a short time but to still be screaming at him across the floor when you are back on defense is taking it too far. Can't imagine he makes a lot of friends on the team

When a MIF Illinois-commit is reported to have 9 points, does that mean he really scored 27?

There was a reason they had 30 more shot attempts than LaLu.

I saw both games so far of LaLu this tourey. about the only team that rebounds worse than LaLu would probably be Illinois.

Seriously LaLu in both games have looked horrendous on the offensive and defensive glass.

If this is how bad they've been on the glass this year, frankly i'm shocked that they have won 27 games and only lost 3. Because LaLu plays a national schedule.
