He is a junior in high school. Like most bigs, he is a work in progress.

Oh no doubt. Not trying to undervalue him in any way. Should have prefaced that by saying I would be ecstatic if he were to come here. Just want to see a little more fire in him.

Tilmon didn't have a great first half but he played fairly well yesterday. I believe he had 9 points and 10 boards. Not a bad effort against elite talent. Does his motor need to be a little better? Probably. But like others have said he is only a junior. His potential is huge.

How many of the players that we are recruiting wear the number 23?

Was guessing his age, good to know :thumb:

I only replied because that what I was thinking when I first heard of him. I would have been more impressed if he was the same age as his peers, but he still has great poise and tremendous skill set for his age.

Montverde is huge. I doubt LaLu has played a game all year where they were at this much of a size disadvantage. Even with Tilmon, Banks, and Bowen they are clearly a smaller team compared to Montverde. Definitely affecting the whole team but I think it is hurting Bowen the most having to play against someone bigger and just as nimble as himself.

Montverde 35, La Lumiere 34 - end of the 3rd quarter.

Relatively quiet game from Tilmon thus far. Isaiah Coleman-Lands has a nice stroke. Feel like I've seen that shot somewhere else......

Why isnt that CHino Hills or whatever from Cali in this tourney? Arent they consensus best team in the country? Is this just a battle for number 2?

Bowen really struggling. Missed a wide open 3 and forced a bad shot that previous possession.
Bowen is a bit of a ball hog. He forces quite a bit. Impressive talent but he needs to understand that his shot isn't falling today and should look at getting his teammates involved.

La Lu is hanging in there by being slightly less awful free throw shooting than Montverde.

La Lu - 13-21
Montverde - 8-26

Tilmon with a nice bucket to take the lead.

Patiently waiting for a gif of #34 from La Lu celebrating.
