So now that Nunn is gone, are there any decent fifth year players still out there?

Just to squash these rumors that I've seen on the board recently/expect to pick up in the next few weeks, Alec Peters from Valpo ain't comin here.

I definitely hear you. But it will be and always should be first come first served. Williams & Pickett have committed. Illini is Frazier's favorite right now. The state is hoping for Goodwin, but this team can't wait on him. You don't need 4 wings in one class. This isn't UNLV

Agree that 4 wings in one class is a bit much, but 4 wings in the 2017 class including Goodwin.. The staff would take that in a heartbeat, especially considering one is a combo guard. The staff can and will wait for Goodwin, as long as he doesn't commit elsewhere. Plenty of spots open so it doesn't even matter right now.

Somebody tell me how we are supposed to beat out MI or MSU for this kid  I'm not saying it to be negative. I'm just curious if the staff thinks they actually have a real shot?

Also, he seemed to be waiting for a Duke offer.. doesn't look like that's happened yet.

Isn't this the guy that Judge referenced a year or so ago??

Didn't I read somewhere that the Peters family is very close and that they made everyone of Alec's home games. You can't do that in Nashville.

I think with kids like this, the bottom line is that in never hurts to offer. You never know what could happen. Maybe his recruitment runs late into his senior season and we're the only school with a spot open. Maybe other schools offer but don't make him a priority.

You can't hit a home run if you don't swing.

Probably could have said some similar about JCL when we offered. I had the same initial thought though when I heard about that offer for Tillman.

We have no luck with Xaviers; lost cause. :)

Because it's a Wednesday and recruiting is fluid :thumb:

The staff is just trying to increase the chances of having a Tilmon/Tillman on the roster since the fans are desperate to have one on the roster :D

Was wondering how long that would take :)

Yeah, there is essentially zero risk in offering the kid. It's not like you have a limit on the number of offers you can give. If you think the kid can play, give him an offer. Worst case, nothing comes of it.

Depending on your life circumstances, it is certainly possible. It would all depend on your willingness to travel, financial situation, etc. But for one season, maybe you do it. It's around 15 trips to Nashville but if I could get the time away from work/life commitments and had the money for it, I'd re-arrange my life for one year for my kid.

Several high majors have their sites on versatile four-star guard Nojel Eastern http://rvls.co/HighmajorfocusforEasternpic.twitter.com/ecpnBJ7D7u

Eastern will be trying out for USA Basketball's 17U national team during the month of June. Depending on whether or not he makes the team, Eastern said that he could look to set up some June unofficial visits.

He doesn't yet claim any favorites and hopes to cut things down to a true final five schools by July but the Spartans, Buckeyes and Musketeers all appear to be in good shape.

I think Augustine's Dad made every B1G game home and away for 4 years. Impressive. Of course B4 Rutgers, Maryland and Nebby.
