Steve Stricker coming out strong as he is one shot out of the lead at 4 under after his first round. Go Strick!!

It was great to see Strick high on the leaderboard. Super early, but its easier to play well from the front than chasing, imo. I guess the back nine at RT can be absolutely dastardly, so hoping Pieters can do well today also.

Pieters just finished off his round at 3 under.

Brutal conditions for the afternoon wave. Pieters has moved up from 79th to 54th and counting.

Strick just had a bad break, lost tee shot and will have a big number on his card.

Amazing!! 17 pars and an 8 on the 15th to fall to even par for the tourney for Stricker.
The cut has moved to 4 over with TP at 2 over.
And again, bad weather reigns.

Welcome to Scotland! Summer here has been pretty cool, relatively speaking for this time of the year. Probably less rainy that expected overall but the weather turns pretty quickly. Normally better on the west coast where Troon is as compared to where I live. Yesterday was crappy here, too. Hopefully better weather to come.

At least it's not gale force winds out there. Yet.

Oops, looks like it's blowing pretty good out there now. Little wind where I am at.

The Scotsman who works for me says that what outsiders have a hard time believing is that it rains pretty much every day in Scotland. And that's why he is in north Carolina, lol

Yeah, if we can get three days in a row without clouds, let alone rain, it's a miracle. :)

And Stricker earns his way into Augusta next year by way of his 4th place finish! How about that!

That was a great show for once in the final of a major. You could say that Phil did not lose it, Henrik simply went out and won it. It was kind of sad that the 18th hole had to eventually be played. I wanted it to keep going.

Best final pairing that I can remember. -6 and lose by 3 strokes? Phil was absolutely on, Henrik was playing out of his mind. 10 birdies. For someone that isn't supposed to be a good putter, he made some fantastic ones.
