I think MSU's death spiral continues this week at Maryland. Hope we're not the team they take it out on later this year.

NC State really playing well this year in Doeren's 3rd (4th?) year. Is he a candidate in this year's carousel?

I'd love to see IU whip up on NW. Could happen.

It's homecoming weekend in Charleston. EIU will host Murray State at 1:00 PM on Saturday. The Panthers are 5-2 on the season and 3-1 in the OVC. The Racers are 1-5 overall and 1-2 in the OVC.

Who's the team Murray state beat? We should schedule them.

One other note about this weekend's games. Verne Lundquist, who is the lead play by play man for the SEC on CBS and is retiring from the football booth at the end of this season, will be the guest picker on College Gameday this weekend.

I've always enjoyed him in the booth.

LOL Rutgers. They get a pick 6 to potentially tie Minnesota midway through the 3rd. That's huge for them with the way their season is going.

Then they miss the PAT. Then Minnesota returns the ensuing kickoff for a TD.

Final score in Charleston: Murray State 40, EIU 38

EIU played a sloppy sloppy game as they turned over the ball 6 times and had several missed tackles in the 2nd half. You're not going to beat any team, much less a team like Murray State playing that.

Ugh. I'm in a hotel bar in Columbus and just watched Ped U beat the Buckeyes. Wow.

Penn st's special teams were amazing in the second half. They were the difference maker. Down the stretch, the pressure psu put on Barrett really sealed it. tOSU's line is the weak point. QB and receivers are awesome, the line is good but looked tired at the end. I found myself rooting for Penn st.
