That's probably a fair assessment.
I am not a fan of Crean in any way but he has gotten IU back to where Hoosier fans think they should be. A season opening victory against a blue blood is exactly how I'm sure he wanted to start.
I know winning isn't everything in recruiting, but how he couldn't wrangle the top IU talent this year is beyond me with the seasons he has had recently. (this is pending the Wilkes decision of course)
Maybe it's because he has yet to make it past the sweet sixteen...:noidea:
