Nebraska leading Indiana 77-76 with 1:38 to go.
Looks like NU is going to win at IU. I don't even know what to think of that. Just seems weird. Is IU that suspect, or is this just one of those flukes?
Morrow and Watson who supposedly weren't good enough for Illinois looking real good at Nebraska.
I saw a pocket of conversation yesterday regarding the end of the Oregon / UCLA game and the court storming that the Oregon fans did after the 3 pointer, thinking the game was over, when in fact there was .8 or .9 seconds left. They managed to get everyone off the court to finish the game, but there were those (Bill Walton, of course) that thought there should have been a technical foul on Oregon for delay of game. My personal feeling is that the clock showed 0.0 and the fans reacted to that and they shouldn't have been penalized. I hate court storming as a general rule, but I think the refs acted appropriately by just letting the game continue as/is.
Any thoughts?

see the point but most conferences are suppose to have procedures in play to keep from storming the court. In addition, it was the home school's timekeeper that made the mistake. The clock is suppose to stop when the ball goes through the net. What would have happened (and they discussed this a little) if UCLA would have inbounded the ball (because the clock should have stopped) and the player with the ball / going for the ball / etc. hits a fan?
The refs control the clock, not the clock operator at the bench.
They don't stop the clock, only start it on inbounds play.
No, the belt packs they wear do both functions. The clock operator is a backup option.
So your saying the official is going to be able to watch and call the game, make a call and then reach around and find the button to push so they can stop the clock? I don't think so.
It's automated via the whistle.
