We got a CB prediction for OL ALex Palzewski.

I'm little worried about Roberson now as it seems that he is starting to warm up to Washington St. a little bit. I saw a tweet by Werner about this.

I think its cause Roberson doesnt like all the attention Thomas is getting as a priority....

He feels like he'd just be another WR on our roster if we land thomas

I think you're wrong. Roberson is and has been for some time getting a lot of attention from our staff.

Whether he has been getting a lot of attention or not, it might be unnerving to be in a class that already includes Carmoni Green, Ricky Smalling, Kendall Smith, and Tony Adams. Add in Jeff Thomas to that crop, and it is looking like an unfavorable position to earn playing time. I would project (obviously that is fluid) Roberson at #3 coming in behind Green and Smalling, #4 if they get Thomas.

Even if they flip Adams and Smith to CB, that is still a full class of wideouts. I still hope they land Roberson, but I would understand him looking more favorably upon a smaller haul of competition.

Counterbalanced by our returning receiver corps, which beyond Turner and the huge question mark that is Dude-K, is about to be usurped by the incoming receivers.

I don't think all of those players you listed will be playing WR next year. We have Turner and (fingers crossed) Dudek back next year that are proven receivers. We really need as much talent at that position as we can get.

Smith and Adams will play DB first, could always change back to WR but they are viewed as DBs especially with missing some DB targets lately.

Roberson knows he would have competition at WR, but I hope he sticks to his original plan on having relationships win out the recruitment. If so, I think between AHS and Smalling we win this one with ease.

What I have read the last couple weeks is Adams db but Smith is now in the receivers room.

I personally think we only have 2 wr committed, Green and Smalling. If we did get Roberson and were lucky enough to get Jeff Thomas committed and qualified I would rank them ...
1.Thomas
2.Smalling
3.Roberson
4.Green
It would be one of the best wr corps we have ever brought imo. Not bashing Green as he was a really good get and would have been our number 1 wr committed most years.

I could see all 4 of them being on the two deep. If everybody is helathy and qualifies our two deep could be
Turner - Thomas(slot) - Dudek
Smalling - Roberson(slot) - Green

Not trying to be a jerk, but where are you coming up with this? Just your gut feeling?

I don't get what everyone is talking about. We lost Hardee, Taylor, Grant and Cain from this year from the WR room.

Thomas, Smalling, Green, Roberson, Smith(maybe, think he plays DB with Adams)

Dudek is coming off his second ACL injury
Dom Thieman coming off broken ankle

And to be brutally honest the only WRs we have that are ready aka- not coming off injury or won't be here until the freshman class gets on campus are:

Turner, Mays, McGriff........early enrolle C.Green.........And Holcombe if you say he's a WR or TE. Which I think he will be TE, he will add weight and be more of a mix then just WR.

Basically 4 WRs will be able to go for awhile.......not a lot to do much of anything. With 2 of the 4 have not played in college yet.

So I say we get as many talented WRs we can get on this team.

Roberson watched us play live and knew he could beat every single one of our receivers. Dudek is an unknown entity at this point and shouldn't be relied on. What did Mays do this year, again? Turner is our only known entity right now, and Roberson would get a lot of downs next year if he committed. You can put money on that.

Besides some of their O line guys, there isn't anyone we are going after.
It seems like we are sitting good with Ol with the guys we have committed and the guys that we seem to be leaders for.
