Everton leave Hull today with a point after a 2:2 draw.

Toffees still a side that can be a bit frustrating to watch at times. Actually it's more amazing to me that they're 7th in the table, at what is now essentially the midpoint of the season, with how they've performed thus far.

They host Koeman's former club Southampton at Goodison Park on Monday. The Saints won 1:0 on their home turf back in late November.

Beat the Gunners, draw Hull. Go figure.

Why are there so many midweek games tomorrow instead of Tuesday and Wednesday? Seems unfair to many teams who only get a day's rest.

I'm not complaining though because Chelsea doesn't play until Wednesday. Trying to tie Arsenal's record against Spurs.

Quality second half for the Toffees leads to a 3:0 win over Southampton. Goals by Valencia, Baines (on a penalty), and Lukaku.

Everton host Leicester City in the FA Cup next weekend and then resume Premier League play the following weekend vs. Manchester City.

I'm surprised the Gunners didn't get the W after the bogus red card.

That's a straight red, all day, every day. The ref was very good, but he missed one: the Bournemouth mid who scored fouled Bellerin.

Hella good game from the Cherries.

Quite a few analysts disagree with you and deemed it unfairly harsh.

Red card rescinded. Looked like he went over the ball, when it was directly in front of him, and took out the Gunners player, with cleats up. Dangerous.

He actually went right at the ball (and missed) but the studs were not up and he did not make any contact with the cleats at all. Rather he slid through the player and took out the players legs with his body. Definitely a foul and yellow-worthy, but the red was harsh.

Big Spurs fan today. Hopefully, they stop the runaway train.

Congrats! Big result for Spurs. I was trying to watch/listen to the game at work so I missed parts of it, but it seemed like an even game. Spurs took advantage of their chances and Chelsea didn't. The Alli/Kane/Erikson connection is really starting to get on a roll again.

These next 4 match weeks will really have a big impact on the title race IMO. Chelsea have Leicester(A), Hull(H), Liverpool(A), Arsenal(H). We could easily lose 5 pts or more from these next 4, so now is the time for anyone to make a title run.

No Premier League matches but there will be FA Cup matches this weekend. I'll post the schedule of matches that will air later but the one match that occurred today was a 5:0 win for Manchester City at West Ham United.

I'll post the full schedule of matches later but I did see that Sky Sports in the UK is already billing this Super Sunday's Premier League matches as Merseyside vs. Manchester.

And Everton has had some transfer news over the past few days. They're getting Schneiderlin from Manchester United with Tom Cleverley heading to Watford and Oumar Niasse to Hull.

Everton win 4-0 vs. Manchester City today. Goals from Lukaku, Mirallas, and teen players Tom Davies and Ademola Lookman. Nice to see the young players score in this match.

With the performance today and how this season is going, I fully expect the Toffees to lose next week at Crystal Palace.

Gunners get it done yesterday. Loved today's draw.

Klopp has his work cut out, especially if he (read: ownership) won't buy in the January window. Eighteen-year old Trent Alexander-Arnold, making his first team debut at Old Trafford, settled down and filled in nicely at right back.

To make a serious run at the league title, Liverpool need another wide player and a finisher -- Wijnaldum and Origi, god love them, had four golden opportunities in the box. Oh, well...
