Great job by the staff, should finish between 40-35 in the rankings. Can't wait to see what they can do with a full year behind them to recruit

The turnaround begins! We aren't likely to see it on the field this coming season but I'm excited about the future of Illinois football again!

Yep, it will probably be a real bad season on the field. But I like where we are headed.

That is certainly a decent range in the rankings. But, there are many indications this class will contribute at a higher level than its ranking. These guys have intangibles and a pretty good staff to coach them up.

Hopefully Lovie doesn't pull a Beckman and ruin the day with a terrible press conference..... Wow, how much has changed so quickly!

Remember when we would lose recruiting battles to guys with MAC offers. You should, it was just over a year ago. If you're not excited about the future of the program yet, you ought to be. Oskee!

I don't think I can adequately describe how excited it makes me that our competition for all these recruits was other major D1 programs, including a number of very good ones. It feels good to be beating out peer schools again.

I also don't think I can adequately describe how sad it makes me that I even have to get excited about this.

More of a casual illini football fan here (a diehard basketball fan, which is disappointing these days).

From a product on the field standpoint, if we were to get 4-5 classes in a row like this one (and probably above average coaching from Lovie, but not at a Bo Ryan Wisky Bball level), what kind of record/ranking/bowl would we start to expect out of the group as the classes build?
