Well, you kinda did see it. Almost a repeat, Illini fall way behind, start playing a little D and PSU relaxes. Cut lead down to where you think you have a chance, but it's a classic fake rally.

People have been asking what this team's identity is, but I think you've named it. Their identity is the fake rally.

Wow, that's a bad loss. On our home court, and we got handled pretty well by one of the weaker teams in the conference. The late comeback made it fun to watch, but most of the game we lacked a viable gameplan on offense, defense and effort was poor. When a team underperforms this badly, that's on the coach, not just a player or players. Not sure we have another win coming this season. Ugh!

Okay boys, that last nail secured the lid, and we sure dug the hole deep enough...let's lower her in.

Sometimes I am really disappointed in Hill. He does some great things. And then makes bad decisions on defense and offense over and over again. Frustrating.

Loved some of what I saw in Lucas though. Needs to work on his free throws but he's got some gifts for sure.

We were just out rebounded by PSU 27-20. They had 5 offensive rebounds and I'm almost positive they scored after each and every one of those OREB.

That more than anything is what is wrong with us in a nutshell. PSU was unconscious for a while from the floor. Even when we played GREAT defense they somehow managed to hit some crazy buzzer beater.

Rebounding is about teaching and effort and we don't have enough of either.

Back to being Mr. Hyde or more appropriately the invisible man in the first half. Where was the defensive intensity in the first half? Last 3 to 4 minutes of first half made the outcome inevitable. Sad that a freshman PG has to be the guys to step up on defense and motivate this team. Fork is now firmly stuck in this season
