Moreover, it's no guarantee that Smith comes here nor do we know how much either them will produce. Here are some other point guards to be aware of who play for other Big Ten teams: McIntosh, Winston (will be a sophomore, but top 30 recruit for the Spartans), Tony Carr, JaQuan Lyle, Anthony Cowan, Nate Mason, Glynn Watson, etc.

Lucas is averaging 5.0ppg and 2.8apg on the season. This rises to 6.2 and 3.6 in conference play, but to say Lucas as a sophomore and a few guys who have never played a college game are suddenly the best in the Big Ten is quite the stretch.

Lucas has a way to go but IMO he outplayed both McIntosh and Winston. McIntosh scored more but with a really lousy percentage. Think ranking seem to more about offense and Lucas's contribution has been huge on defense. I not sure where he ranks but he is a keeper.

Lol, yeah, my week-long sabbatical from reading the Coaching Carousel thread is now over.

I imagine the only thing that has changed around here is Cuonzo Martin isn't looking so hot anymore.

Meh, if we would have won today and won a couple in the BTT and won one in the NCAA, there's a case there.

Obviously now there is new information, and that case is gone.

I doubt it...there is still a 'ladder' for this team to make the NCAA and they don't seem to be the quitting kind.

I sincerely doubt that they win the BTT, but I bet they win a game or two.

I just see it ending like two years ago where they just fell apart against Purdue in the 2nd half and then never recovered.
