4 of these teams are on the good side of the bubble according to bracketmatrix. IMO Xavier & USC are the key games. Xavier lost 6 in a row before beating DePaul in the regular season finale. Losing to DePaul would be a bubble bursting type lost. USCs projected RPI/SOS if they lose to Washington
USC

W-L RPI* SOS
23-9 48 75

Would be good for Duke to beat Clemson, who's not really in the bubble conversation right now but could still play bid theif through the auto bid.

Edit: they're actually in one bracket on bracketmatrix so they could be back in at-large talks with a signature win over Duke.

So Wake if safely in, but VaTech is on the bubble? I thought Wake was in the last four out and figured them taking a loss might help more. Although there seems to be an inverse relationship between who I root for and who actually wins.

Bold is who we're rooting for. Go VaTech.

Miami up on Syracuse by 8 at half. If the Orange fall, I don't think they deserve to make it.

Agree they absolutely don't deserve to be in. High RPI terrible non-conference schedule. If they were named "Illinois" they would be out for sure

That helps. Need some more help tonight. Unfortunately, Xavier and USC play really weak teams. if one of them could get dumped that would really help as well. All will come down to us winning tomorrow. Nothing matters without that.

Currently watching Duke-Clemson. Close game in the first half. I'm surprised to discover than Elijah Thomas is slim and lanky. He's lost a ton of weight and looks much more physically mature. He'll never be a bouncy athlete, but he has a terrific frame and looks pretty good out there.

Clemson is probably out of the conversation unless they win 2-3 games, but they're close enough to the bubble to keep monitoring.

People get upset about teams with a losing record making the tournament. I can't imagine the feedback if Clemson is an at-large team at 6-12, no matter how tough the conference is.

I'm with you. I don't think they're in regardless, but I believe they've been in that next 4 out discussion here and there in the media.

Penn State had a 9 point lead with about 4:30 left, but couldn't hold on and is currently in OT with Nebraska
