Talking about the center position is old school. When I look at P5 starting line ups they are usually 3 guards and 2 forwards or visa versa. BU just wants athletes that can run the floor.

I was think about this as well not to long ago you use to have 2 guard 2 forwards and a center now we have, PG, SG ComboG, SF, WF, PF, POINTForward, stretch 4 stretch 5 Center and a couple others lol

Yeah, but some of said athletes need to be able to rebound, protect the rim, and guard post players.

from watching Franco B I think he can guard the post, but JT would be better at it, I also think Black and DJ can do the job. also Guarding the post had a lot to do with Guard pressure as well as just being able to guard the post player

Pretty much agree. Sometimes it's even four guards and a PF type.

However, in the Big Ten, there are still a few teams that are able to slow down the game. In which case you need some tough guys that can rebound, protect the rim and in general thrive in a half-court game.

It will be interesting to see how BUs style works when some opponents try to slow us down.

well like you said "try" BU comes off as the kind of Coach who doesn't worry much about what others are going to do , and worries more about what he wants his team doing, and that goes for D as well as O. It will be interesting for sure just to see a full year of what all he has the team doing

And JT needs to get his academics in order so he can take some of his OV's. Not sure he has cleared NCAA.

Wondered if this was the issue. Does anyone know if this is a problem?

There are rumors going around in St. Louis that the NCAA is already asking some questions about things at Mizzou. I don't know if it's related to Tilmon at all. Could just be BS rumors, but I heard it from two different people I know in St Louis.

I've seen that as well, but not from any (even remotely) credible source. It would explain why Mizzou seems to have backed off however.

They're really pisssed off about the UNC scandal and they've got to take it out on someone.

Yeah well Mizzou has been a mess for years. They've had Snyder and Haith in there and now there is a lot of smoke around Martin. I don't know if they have an administration/booster problem that is impacting/swaying the coaches or if there is a culture change that needs to occur or what. If they are committing violations, I acknowledge they are not the only ones but they must be doing it in a much more reckless or careless or incompetent way than others.

I've been peaking at some of the Mizzou boards about tilmon and some of them are saying they rather have Porter's brother than Tilmon

The game I saw him last weekend he was a monster. Michael is better but it isn't by as much as I had assumed. MPJ was ranked number 1 in the class and Jontay is composite number 31 and likely to go higher. If Jontay reclassifies and they play together it'd be quite a front line no matter who else they had. And Blake Harris should at least be able to get them the ball.
Also saw on Tigerboard that both Porters need summer school classes to qualify, but it's Tigerboard so no real idea if that's true or not.

Any chance Antiqua can get in on this Zion Williamson kid? :D Good lord. 16? And if he's ranked #2, who's #1? Russell Westbrook? Have you guys seen this kid?

This kid is amazing for sure. One of the best in game dunkers I have ever seen on any level.

Also has good handles for his size.

But the competition he plays against in South Carolina is a joke. I want to see him play against serious AAU competition.
