Great news.

Looking forward to some high scoring small ball.

Ultimately, I think this is a good return on the LaTulip deal. PTBNL deals are always risky, but I think we played our hand just right.

LaTulip always was our best recruiter. Very excited about this one. Hopefully it doesn't affect JCL.

So starting lineup as of now:

Lucas 6'
Smith 6'4
Alstork 6'5
Nichols 6'6
Black 6'7

2nd Five

Frazier 6'3
JCL 6'3 (transfer?)
Williams 6'3
Jordan 6'3
Finke 6'10

Need 2 BIGS to give us balance but run and gun with 6'9 or below would work for me as well in the B1G, we would give teams fits...

Wow. Might be the smallest Illinois roster in 100 years. :D

I have a feeling we will see more dunks this year then in the last 3 combined, and more blocks as well.

Hope so. Pretty sure I could count on one hand successful alley-oops landed last year. Heck, maybe in the last 3 years.

Welcome Mr. Alstork! I think Finke will start over Kipper. Especially the way our new coach has been talking. Needless to say I think we will have everyone playing.

Would almost agree but as of now with no additional players (there will be some), I separated due to having "some" height on both 5...if staying the same I think BU would do the same out of necessity also?:chief:

Screenshotted MA's snapstory of when Underwood was presenting to him during his visit, but am unsure on how to post it. But it seems like he is going to be a BIG part of our offense next year. I-L-L

But the most athletic one in at least 10 years! In BRAD I trust!!!

We need to quit being fixated on height per se in an Underwood offensive scheme. Oklahoma State ranked 302nd in the country in offense at 66.7 points a game the year before Underwood became head coach.

In ONE YEAR, he had them ranked 4th in the country at 85.2 points a game. That's all it took.

Of course size matters in basketball and we will struggle on defense in half court sets, but the team that wins is the one that ultimately scores the most points. This is gonna be fun to watch!

Awesome! Versatile scorer, can playmake. I like.

Underwood has some horses for his offense now.

With Alstork, Frazier, and Smith, the Illini have added three players who can score from NBA 3 point range and can get microwave hot. The Illini perimeter defense better be ridiculously good, though, because this bunch has no one who can guard a 6'9" guy down low.

Black can, due mostly to his ability to rebound (knack)...but yes after him...we need HELPPPPPPPP:chief:
