Epstein, Smalling, Turner and Dorsey are gonna be really good skill players. That's a bright spot.

Keep fighting, keep learning, keep improving is what I am looking for the balance of this season.

Hate to sound like Timmy Lasagna, but if Green leaves that ball alone, we'd still have a shot here.

They've run that same stupid play every time with that back and we still can't stop it :smash:

How many years have we been able to say this? Why can't the flagship school in the fifth-largest state in the nation field at least a reasonably competitive football team? It is so frustrating.

And it's not like our basketball team has been holding up its end for being a "basketball school."

The last decade has sure taken a toll on Illinois sports....and its fans. What few are left.

I ask again, did anyone see why Marchese was in this week? He started apparently and he has just been getting JUKED out of his shoes today. Lots of big plays are because he isn't filling his gap correctly and over pursuing.

He couldn't simply be starting because he had a better week of practice right? Did our other scholarship LBs really play that bad in practice this week?

If we can't beat Rutgers at home, who can we beat on the rest of the schedule? I knew this would be a tough season playing so many young players. They can only get better.

Literally no one. This is rock bottom, it goes up from here.

Also frustrating that the units don't pick each other up. Mistake on offense, defense can't hold. Defense gets a turnover, offense can't score. Special teams messes up, defense doesn't pick them.

It's only going to get worse this year. O$U might put up 100 on this defense.

We have officially moved from hopeful to delusional that things will get significantly better. THIS is Illinois football!
