Probably two recruit that caused me to shake my head and almost vomit were Cory Maggette and Shaun Livingston. I followed Magette closely for years and despite his #17-20 ranking always felt like he was more like a top #5 player nationally. TBell had an article that day saying he was going to Illinois. Things happen, Duke got an open spot and landed the future #3 NBA pick. Livingston was a local player with many ties to Illinois, once again Coach K swayed them. But he went straight pro.

Landing Trent Frazier, Mark Smith, and Ayo in two years would be quite the reversal from where we were before that with regards to lead guards.

Do not forget Da-Will not sure why everyone keeps forgetting this guy, maybe because he was hurt, but he is starting Sunday in the scrimmage

Quite often faculty brats get discount or free tuition at their parent's school. Don't know if that's the case with Illinois. But that's a plum the school can throw faculty in contract negotiations that really doesn't cost the school all that much, while sweetening the deal for faculty whom it benefits.

But I don't know about Illinois, but it would lessen the costs for the Underwoods w/o taking a scholarship from the bb program.

Wonderful point. It probably was in the contract, but even if it wasn't his dad just tripled his salary and moved instate, providing that all important Illinois resident discount.

I feel like even if someone in the media knew what was gonna happen, they wouldn't leak it. I can't imagine the bridges that would burn with the Irvins, Mean Street, Morgan Park, and the cps in general. I am sure someone in the media knows, but just won't share it.

According to a very reliable source, Ayo Dosunmu is wearing all black today at school. The plot thickens (and he isn’t pulling a Livingston)
