Cmon B1G. I don't want us to rank 6 or 7 in the conference but miss the tourney because the second tier of the conf is so bad.

Current Big 10 standings as of right now. Big 10 doesn't have a whole lot of losses, and no horrible losses other than Indiana.

And Northwestern by 36 last night to an unranked Texas Tech team.

Texas Tech isn't horrible, probably similar to Illinois in pre-season rankings (69 vs 85 according to CBS). They also have a win at Boston College, which isn't too special, but it's Power 6 (7?). I wouldn't mark it as a horrible loss just yet.

A ranked team should never lose by 36 to ANYONE!

Iowa only managed 1 point in 9 minutes during the first half - hard to overcome a drought like that.

Syracuse beat Oakland 74-50. Nunn had 12 points.

Creightbon (who beat Northwestern) beat UCLA. Score was 100-89.

Mizzou is losing to Emporia State 39-32 with 15 minutes left in the 2nd half.

Marcus Foster is looking really impressive. Creighton is going to be ranked soon and will probably have a good season.

Mizzou just barely beat Emporia st. Yikes. They shot a terrible percentage from the free throw line, somewhere in the mid fifties. Porter Jr did not play again. I read somewhere he was going to see a specialist. Still not even sure what is injured.

It was reported he didn't travel to Utah because it was too uncomfortable to sit on the plane that long, and sit on the bench during the game.

Sounds like hip/lower back type stuff to me.

Looks like Tigerboard has one of its very first "CM can't coach, can he?" threads up right now.

Something really weird has to be going on with Porter. This secrecy is strange. Wonder if it's getting into the heads of the rest of the players, because they are playing like hot garbage.

Spoon is right. Get a beer, some popcorn, head over to tigerboard, entertaining.
To whit

"moral loss"

"time to recalebrate expectations"

CM can't coach, never did, never will"

"Does this really count as a win"

Some good news for them. Tillmon had fouls and only 3 of them were stupid.

St Louis TV said Porter's problem is in the hip and so for not responding

They are lucky the refs bailed them out by calling the personal fouls 33-17 in Mizz favor

My head hurt after thirty seconds of looking at that poorly crafted MySpace page. That thing looks like it was designed by someone... well... with a degree from Missouri, I guess.
