Austin Colbert had 17 points, 7 Rebounds and 4 blocks in Hampton's win over Mid-Atlantic.

I always liked Austin's attitude when he was with the team. Good to see he's back playing this year.

This may be topic related since he is a former recruit...my quote from October.

Am I the only one who thinks Jordan Goodwin isn't that good.

I'll own it if wrong.

Someone mentioned it last week...obviously early but those shooting %'s ... and St. Louis is a average to bad team.

Jordan Goodwin is a freshman and is also averaging 7.2 rpg and and 4.7 apg, that is more rebounds and assists than anyone on the Illini team. So please... kid chose another school and will go through growing pains as every other freshman in college basketball, but kid is a player and plays with heart.

I was very glad he did not choose us. If you recall our scholarship grid at that time, we need spots for Mark Smith and at least on extra big. Spending one scholly on Goodwin was not a good idea.

Same argument for THT not choosing us. We need an elite 3-point shooter and a big for the remaining schollies. THT is neither.

Oh... come on. It is unbelievably hard to make a case that we are glad that THT (or even Goodwin) did not choose us. As far as the extra big, as last year showed us, it is also extremely hard to find a big who can immediately help going into late recruiting season.

I don't have something personal against him...I just saw him play in HS and saw he wasn't a good shooter then...and that's being highlighted early in his college career now. I hope his other skills make up for it, it appears they are so far.
