In my opinion, it's kind of odd to have a commitment video AND have multiple hats on a table. Generally, the reason for the hats is to have an exciting reveal. But if you have already "committed" by video, then you have removed the suspense.

Granted, he could be doing this exactly to build up the suspense again, only to pick up the Texas hat. Which is fine. Just not normally how it is done.

Jeremy Werner, on his show this morning, just stated that it's down to Texas and Illinois. He said that most of the people he's talking to think he'll stick with Texas. However, Illinois is still making the push and Adeoye is thinking about it.

He also referenced a couple of tweets from Ward and Cory Patterson that may be encouraging Adeoye to make the switch.

The fact that he's having this announcement tomorrow night is strange if he's just sticking with Texas. Just sign the LOI and move on if that is his decision as opposed to playing the hat game.

Do you have a link to the show?

Wishful thinking.

Just take a look at the average position ranking for a typical Iowa or Wisconsin recruit vs. an Illinois recruit. There is actually quite a bit of separation between classes largely comprised of three star recruits. One class might by largely top 1000 Power 5 kids while another class might be full of 3 star kids outside of the top 1000 and lacking Power 5 offers. There is a BIG difference between those classes.

But whether there is a real big talent difference is the question. And at those rankings, it gets pretty difficult to tell.

The Petersen commit to Iowa State hurts. I don't see many options out there at DE. Hopefully the staff can snag another Isaiah Gay type prospect late (maybe a 6-9 German? https://www.hudl.com/video/3/7177202/59ad4dec90ef820eb006a411). The staff is in on Jason Bargy and Khris Bogle for the 2019 class but should add at least 1 DE for this class. Maybe Jordan Branch can play both sides (DE and situational RB/FB).

I see Jason Mercier's name has been floated around but you can see where he's already visited and I have no idea if he is signing this week?

He is teammates with Cardarius Gaskin but we need to get these guys on campus for official visits to have a chance.

Maybe some new names will pop up after this week. Any "commit" who doesn't sign this week will probably be targeted for a flip and we can keep looking for some hidden gems out there.

Speaking of Branch, are we going to have him in for an official visit in January?

This is how I feel as well. But like I said, I guess it's possible he is just playing into the speculation and creating more suspense. However, that seems more unlikely for some reason. Probably because I own a pair of orange colored glasses.

That tweet is now deleted. But I'm gonna guess that it's still not gonna be us. Unless his account was hacked. But I highly doubt that.

Ryan Easterling is implying that his offer was pulled? Why would you do that to a kid who made an official visit this weekend? Ridiculous.

Unless there's something more to this story then this staff needs to get start acting like the paid PROFESSIONALS they are supposed to be. It's one thing for a 17 or 18 year old kid to change his mind but a highly paid staff should have a better grip on things.

Hmmm. Okay. Yes, hopefully that does mean something good on the Craddieth front.

This could really damage our chances with Coleman, however. Davis and Coleman are good friends and Coleman has said he will not sign until February.
