I’d call it 3% Bruce, 1% John, 7% whoever was coaching BP the last several years, 90% BP himself. Amazing guy.

True. I was thinking about posting 100% BP himself, as it took him several years of super effort to make it. That's on the player, isn't it? Awesome resolve on his part to make the squad. And a great squad at that.

For any Southern IL Illini fans, Ayo will be playing in the Highland Optimist Shootout on January 6. Also EJ will be playing in the game before Ayo. Lots of good talent playing that day as well.

His defense will be his biggest challenge as a Freshman.

With Ayo's movement and length he can kill most college guards on defense. Unfortunately he may have to defend wings in a guard heavy and undersized team like us and that won't bode well.

Same issue for Mark Smith. He defended many opponents that he should not match up to.

What in the world should our coaching staff do about this? They have to be wondering why in the hell they ever accepted commitments from the likes of Mark Smith and Ayo Dosunmu....

I'm thinking, in time, the staff (and the players themselves) will figure out how to make things work with MS and Ayo.

The 60 pts were a Tark Classic record. 37 pts in the 2nd half.

I'd rather have Colin Castleton :D

But in all seriousness......what was Morgan Park's competition? Curious to know who he did this against. Regardless, it's impressive. But it's all the more impressive if it's against a reasonably legitimate team.

Game was against Wilson HS out of D.C. Maxpreps says they are the #4 team in D.C. The tourney brings 16 of the top HS teams together in Vegas, MP has played one of the toughest schedules in all of the Nation. They have played Findlay Prep, Champaign Central, Simeon, Curie, and L.A. Salesian. The Mustangs will play 4 games in 4 days in Vegas.
Somebody from staff is in Vegas this week, I'm assuming it is OA.

Last year's Co-MVP stole the hearts of everybody that watched him, none other than LiAngelo Ball.:)

I am surprised you think size is an issue. Ayo looks a lot bigger than a year ago and Smith is listed at 6' 5" and obviously strong enough. Quickness of guards would be more of a problem IMO.
