NMSU up 29-25 over #6 Miami at halftime. Potentially helpful win for Illini.

We should have had a better finish against NMSU but, they are looking pretty good. Fell asleep last night so not sure how they came back against Davidson. Davidson was taking over about the time I nodded off but, NMSU must have turned it back around.

If NMSU holds on, I won't feel so bad about losing to them. But on the other hand, that may have been a really quality win we let slip away.

Another potentially solid win we let slip away. So far, this has been a season defined by missed opportunities. But can't do anything to change the past. Excited to see how we progress moving forward.

I like it when that happens. As far as I'm concerned, takes (a little of) the sting out of them edging us. There are a lot of negative nellies on this board. Not saying that all will be peaches and cream, but Illinois will be better than a lot of folks moaning about.

For all those criticizing praise for NMSU as "rationalizing" a bad Illinois loss, this should reinforce the fact that NMSU is a very good basketball team.

Better than Wake, better than NW, better than UNLV. Heck, they might be better than Maryland.
