Watching Oklahoma is bonkers. Their offense is literally, option A: Trae Young iso, option B: actual offense.

Wow, Oklahoma.

I love Lon Kruger, but my God.......gotta run an offense other than allowing Trae Young to just jack up 30 foot shots at will. His shot selection late in that game was appalling.

Young finished with 48 points, but attempted 38 shots (21 of them from three).

Oklahoma State with the big win.

Trae Young was getting triple teamed 94 feet on that last possession. If you're Lon, how do you not have a whole batch of plays that are essentially 3 passes and a dunk. Mercy.

Speaking of Bruce... he has quietly assembled a pretty nice team. Good balance of guards, size, and shooters. Expectedly solid on defense for the most part.

Will see how how they finish 2nd half vs TCU but, had a nice win against Oklahoma the other night. Also one shot from knocking off KU at Allen Fieldhouse.

Remember when we were afraid that Weber was making us Purdue?

Then, Groce made us Rutgers.

I guess we'll see where Underwood can take us. Hopefully back to Purdue's level?

Weber took a brand new Ferrrari and made us into a non-tournament team. The Groce era is pretty much an NIT team, so not in worse shape than the downwards spiral under Weber, but still failed to elevate the program, despite the early excitement and overachieving first season. Right now, this team is not a tournament team, that is the truth.

Too early to say what the Underwood era will be, but the key is recruiting and seriously upgrading the talent, which both Weber and Groce failed to do.

Coach Weber's team beat another ranked team.

The game was at KSU but still another good win.

He’ll probably have a few stinker losses as well this year and be a near bubble/on the bubble team.

That is exactly what we were trying to get rid of when we fired him. We didn’t want a guy who makes the tourney 2 out of 3 years and those years he does make it are “sweating on selection Sunday because of the bubble”.

We should be an easy auto bid every year and that is what we are striving for.

Sometimes it’s hard for us fans to accept letting go of Weber because he still has SOME success. 10 years ago, his current performance at KSU would be looked down upon as mediocre.

It’s unfortunate Groce dug the program even deeper and now we have to look at Weber with envy.

Hopefully BU gets us back to the Self days.
