Texas is not part of the West Coast geographically, and, in fact, is about as culturally antithetical to most of the West Coast as you can possibly get.

Maybe I should've specified, stay close to home, not necessarily the West Coast. Texas is very close to Arizona and would possibly afford for his family to attend games more often.

There's been talk that Okoro might classify to 2018? If that happened and he came to Illinois, oh man would that completely change EVERYTHING!!!

I don't think he reclassifies, but if he does reclassify I have heard that it will come down to Illinois, Purdue, Kansas out of his current offers right now, those are his favorites.

I'm pretty surprised there isn't more inside information on Okoro considering he plays so close to Champaign. It seems like his circle has kept his recruitment under wraps pretty well. I've also heard that he comes from a good family and that they are tied to Ayo's family.

9:40 - Tupper talks about Francis Okoro. Will he reclassify?

Tupper mentions that he heard that Okoro would be too old to compete in the second semester of next season because of IHSA rules. I don't believe that is the case. From what I've heard, he will be 19 next season, IHSA rules exclude those that are 20 or older.

Texas is NOT close to Arizona by any stretch of the imagination. Its not driving range for even a weekend game and flying is going to cost about the same whether its Austin or Chicago.

Uconn doesn't worry me at all. I could see Oregon, Cincy, and Texas all being better destinations for Jones than Illinois. With Jones playing in Arizona, you would think that staying on the West coast would be ideal for him, especially a place like Texas. Oregon is especially worrisome because they have recruited circles around us lately when we are both vying for the same recruit and in general.

In regard to Xavier, even if Mack left for Louisville, he would still likely recruit Jones anyways.

Eugene is a very cool school town. Beautiful around there.

I am not an expert on geography, but pretty sure Texas is no way on the West Coast. Unless of course you consider Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska as West Coast teams, too.

I need some recruiting new to take my mind off this past season. And by recruiting news I don't mean rumors of who will transfer.

Yes please. Two more commitments. A shooter and a big. Good ones. Preferably no 5th years. Soon.

Anybody catch in the post game press conference that Trent said "We have a couple new guys coming in next year and we'll need to work them in." May just be speculation on my part, but sounded like he already knew who was coming in along with Ayo. My guess is Trice.

I didn't catch that, but I did hear "Hopefully we can get everybody to come back"?

That would be nice, but Okoro's recruitment (and Liddell's) hasn't even started yet. Considering how big those 2 are going to be for us, I'm guessing it will be full circus mode by late August.
