I'm not a big comparison guy, but if Giorgi turns out that well (Augie-lite? gulp), that's fantastic. Yes, am well aware that it's way too premature to be making projections.

WRT bringing in refs, early and often: great call.
Absolutely right !
Last year was quite frustrating. Getting the idea of what is a foul early can only help us.

If we cant get 40 mins of quality production out of our 1-3 spot, somethings wrong with the staff. Not saying they are a top 25 backcourt (yet), but I think its reasonable at this point to say they are one of the deepest in the B1G and have obvious star power. Frazier, Ayo, DMW, Feliz, AJ, Griffin, and some Jones thrown in there (still think he'll be forced to play a lot against the other teams 4). Can't remember the last time we were that deep.

The worst part about this is Kipper is going to be forced to use all his minutes at the 4. I think it'll hurt him in general as a player, but him alone should give us an average 4 spot.

I always get too hyped from practice reports, but I try to be realistic. No matter who starts or plays at the 5, I can't foresee that position being any better than a couple teams in the B1G, and that's probably being too generous. Hope I'm wrong, but bigs struggle enough as it is there first couple years, let alone when they are relied upon as the sole big men we have (I expect little from Adonis, hopefully he can produce more than Thorne after his injury, but I'm expecting similar results).

I'll give some credit to Antigua for Black's success, but most of the signs were there prior to this year (3pt shot excluded). If he can give us better than expected results from Kane/Giorgi/Adonis/Kipper/Jones, then I will start to believe in him as a true coaches coach, but right now, if you're going to include Black, you have to also include Finke. Ebo is a wash to me, he showed flashes, but got beat regularly. I also wont knock him for Matic.

Can't wait for Griffin to surprise a lot of people with his athleticism and elite shooting. BU's system will open up more with reliable and consistent 3PT shooting.

First and foremost, we are going to be what I hoped last year's team would be, but never delivered upon; FUN TO WATCH.

And hopefully, a lot of pleasant surprises accompany that style of play.

How can this go unanswered for 6 hours? This gets me excited for the coming season. Everyone one the recruiting thread whining?
I LOVE Jones' game. Think he has the chance to be really special here!!! Huge get so late in the process...

Tupper lost me when he compared Tevian to Randle, Bertrand, AND Malcolm. Those are 3 pretty distinct players. If he’s a mixture of those 3 then we should just go ahead and give him the national POY right now, lol.

Unless he has Randle's assertiveness, Bertrand's basketball IQ and Hill's athletic ability.

But if he has Randle's defensive instincts, Bertrand's explosiveness and Hill's feel for getting buckets, he'll be a one-and-done!

Whether it was really 6:00 or 6:59, it sounds like his rehab is going very well.
I’ll feel so much better about the season if we hear of De La Rosa being cleared anytime soon. I still expect it to be closer to December or January before he’s fully cleared though. Hope I’m wrong.

Unfortunately running in a straight line doesn't mean all that much for an ACL
Hey, lets give him some credit - I'd assume the mile was on a track - with left hand turns on each end - and someone did mention he was performing some sort of cutting drills during the 1st practice as I recall.

If you believe that 6 minute mile time, even with basketball coach calling a 6:58 a "six minute mile", that's some serious kool-aid.

I don't think any kool-aid is needed over the time the mile was ran. If you think the kid running a mile means he is ready to step into the lineup and help us in Maui, then sure, drink up.

All this means right now is he is taking another step in his recovery.

See what you did there....;)
