I know we dismiss (read: justify) not getting top players from Illinois but if for no other reason than narrative purposes (lol, I know) it would be nice to lock up some of the top kids.

Wesley would be an excellent start to the class. Would be first top-10 ranked Illinois recruit since Smalling (and only 2nd top-10 Illinois recruit since the Megginson and Brown commitments in 2015). Much needed boost in Chicago, in-state, and start to the class.
