So mookie committed to OSU. BUT HIS RECRUITMENT VIDEO makes no sense.. he says Illinois and the says go bucks.. like teasing us..
Maybe it will make sense in a few months.

The problem is how little time there is between our hypothetical seventh loss and the signing date for the 2020 class.
If we're magically a real football team this fall, things will work themselves out. If this is the end of the line, an empty class is a tricky spot to walk into.
That video is ridiculous...but the thing that has my panties in a bunch the most is that they call it Illinoise.....like come on man
Social media is just performance art. Don't make more of it than that and you won't get hurtAt 17 or 18, they're just having a good time with their moment. Keeping it a secret, trying to make it a surprise, etc...
If people didn't lean on every word and try to decode every phrase these kids make for six months +....there would be no circus and no hurt feelings.
Social media being what it is.....now people care about hats
Talked to a couple guys today.....they don’t seem to concerned about the commitment.
Well I guess osu is done recuiting wide receiver so If they our link to another one it 1/4 probability that it could be good news for IllinoisWhat is the real chance he flips if we do well
6 and in......What is the real chance he flips if we do well
Say it with us B.O.W.L6 and in......
6 and in......
It's not necessarily about the position or the depth or what 2020 roster looks like. It's more about the momentum *right now* that a big name like Mookie would have lent to the Illinois recruiting pitch - "See, we're really building something." Other recruits would see that and it would give additional credence to what Illinois and Lovie are trying to build. I know the coaches can point to Isaiah and Marquez (and obviously other players like Luke Ford as well), but getting a top talent right now is always better than getting him down the road if you can use his commitment as a tool. He also could then start recruiting other kids himself. Anyway, like others have said, the FOE thing still rings true with him, but he had to get his spot at OSU while he still could. I don't blame him, but it would be nice to have him committed - not for 2020 roster depth, but for momentum today.Everyone should just relax. Mookie committed to OSU. It's not the beginning of the apocalypse. In 2020, the Illini will have atleast five 4 star receivers, Smalling, USC crew, Jadon and likely teammate James Frenchie. I think receiver is a very strong position for the Illini going forward. I also think that by 2020 Delevon Campbell, Barker at tight end, Luke Ford, Carter and will be formidable receivers in the B1g. With the vast improvement at quarterback I think the Illini will be fine. Illini may have the best receivers in the B1g by 2020 with experience. I also believe that Lovie and company will recruit more good players for the 2020 class. In lovie I trust.
Does OSU let their commits take visits to other schools?

LolWe've reached the point now where the better and more authentic the insider, the less reliable the information. Hot seat coaching staffs are reality distortion fields.

I'd say they're synonymous. The net has to get wider to finally catch something, whether that's small or big. Shrimps and minnows are on our menu at this rate.‘Casting a wide net“ feels a lot like “Can’t land the guys we want” sometimes.

Well, it goes both ways. It seems like the staff had offered a lot more than previous years. Also hard to tell who they have offered and what interest ILL has in them. Which is good....some recruits ILL offered were lost once other teams found out and looked into. Maybe this year a Sydney brown type was offered, can literally show ILL is very interested, and don’t have to wait to last minute before signing day. Builds relationships, can wait on senior year film for some.‘Casting a wide net“ feels a lot like “Can’t land the guys we want” sometimes.
I'm sure there is a chance we can flip him...but I'm far from buying that we win 6 games and he flips.6 and in......
