Absolutely a great performance! Hats off to Lovie and the staff for a solid game plan. Excellent job executing by the players. Hopefully a program changer! Great win.

That is an absolutely terrible strategy, horrible but I won’t let it dampen today’s win.
Well where would we have been without our transfers today or when we went to our last Rose Bowls? You are incorrect. Every team takes transfers or a good Juco now days! The QBs at LSU, Michigan, and Okla 2 of the last three and one won the Heisman. We would not have won today without them.
GREAT WIN! Imatubabe. Brandon P and others played great today and were key to our win.

Honestly might be the single most surprising outcome of my entire Illini fandom
I'm right there with you. The win @ #1 Ohio State was a shocker, but we were legitimately good.

The only one that rivals this was @ Michigan in Kittner's Sophomore year. We were down what...three touchdowns in the 4th? I think Harvey took off for about 60-70 yards late. That was a program changer for Turner. That's the only other true shocker I can think of.

1- You only had 2 real transfers contribute today, so there goes that.
2-You’re about to lose 27 players over the next two years. That’s not a typo.
3- We’re all going wild right now and we’re still 3-4...for a reason. We are well behind the eight ball when it comes to high end HS talent. Adding more short term players does nothing to build this program. Nothing. It puts us in the same holding pattern we’ve been in for all of Lovie’s tenure.

I will debate this all day long and I will win all day long but I don’t want to distract from today.
Who isn't going to lose 27 players over the next two years? Are you saying that most college programs don't have a total of 27 Juniors or Seniors on the roster? Is this what Freshman and Sophomores are for?

You're trying to water down a potential program changing day. Illinois is the story of college football today. If you don't feel positive after this.....there is nothing that will ever excited you about this program.

Also, once Wisconsin went up 20-7 and got the ball back I was fully expecting them to open it up. One of those "we hung tough but got tired and gave up 3 4th quarter TDs". Amazing resiliency.

Dude it felt EXACTLY like how last week felt at that point. You could see it coming a mile away, then it just didn't. I can't believe it

If Lovie has the team giving effort and playing like today then he deserves more time. This was what we all expected. Not necessarily beating the #6 team, but competing like this. This team doesn’t lose to EMU, this team destroys UCONN. Something switched at halftime against Michigan. Keep it rolling and prove everyone wrong.

Amazing. Just amazing. So happy for the players, staff, and Illini nation. My favorite moment was the reaction of the band/student section after the field goal was going through! After all we've been through in football as Illini nation, that was beautiful.

I fell off the Lovie wagon after EMU. I'm sprinting and running alongside...might be about to get back on. I do think Wiscy did set up well for us given their pro-style offense, where Lovie's D would work better. But if they can translate this to competitive D against more spread, run and gun style offenses, I'll definitely be back on.

What I'm especially proud of is that we won the penalty battle....against Wisconsin. Let that sink in.

Enjoy Illini nation players/staff, you've earned it!
