It will be the 15th.

Have not heard anything as regards to where.

Wouldn’t be shocked if it was just an instagram live type deal at his home.

5th year prep. But now the rumor is he is reclassfying back to 2020. Confused?:)
Definitely confused. My assumption always was that he was a JR this 19-20 school year, and was reclassifying to be a 2020-21 college freshman (skipping his senior year.) But in actuality, he was originally a 2020 recruit, that was going 5th year prep, thus making him a 21 recruit, but is contemplating becoming a 20 recruit again??

6'9" Connor Severen, St. Rita, is a preferred walk on for 2020. Extremely skilled big man. Welcome aboard Connor. Good pick up.
This maybe a dumb question but can a preferred walk on receive a redshirt year? I assume they can but don't know if that only applies to scholarship players. The thing that makes me question if they can receive a redshirt is that you never hear of coaches of ever redshirting a walk on. I would think that a coach would always redshirt a walk on just in case of a slight chance that they may develop into someone that could at some point give you valuable minutes.

if 5 years to play 4 eligibility applies (I am not certain) then point would be moot?

the five to play four applies to all players and yes a walkon can sit out a year and get an extra year of eligibility.

I believe LaTulip sat out a year to make himself eligible for a grad transfer? I seem to think the extra year has happened before. Brian Johnson?

As far as walk on status we could get some benefit from having this kid. He seems to move well/passes very well/sees other players getting to spots and runs the offense as far as video goes. I think this kid helps us a great deal actually long term.

Welcome to the ILLINI family Conor.
