I hear Quam is an assistant at Kenwood now. I am guessing that may help.
One of the Irvin Brother is the head coach at Kenwood. took all of Morgan Park's best Freshman and took a top Freshman for Simeon. also hope we can get in with Jeremy Fears who just Transfer to La Lumiere.

As much as I would like to believe Professor QC, I think that he was used as a misdirection. Someone at Providence and Indiana were undoubtedly also chosen to be used. I am so hopeful that I am wrong. We could really use this kid, but I don't think that he is ours.

No offense to QC as I enjoy both his contributions and his style but I highly doubt the Hopkins are using him as a pawn to anonymously run interference on Illini Loyalty. I would think feeding misinformation to those who officially track these things for a living would cast a wider net.

Are you saying we're not even worthy of being fed misinformation? I'll have you know I have influence in the community

If we are to believe (that hayseed) Little Timmy, we're now inside 48 hours or so prior to a commitment announcement --- and the crystal balls are still unanimously in favor of the Wildcats. Awaiting that next positive sign.........

Groce seems to have found his niche at Akron. 24-7 last year and a 1st place conference finish. I do not recall who is lead recruiters were? Was it a case of not having great lead recruiters or Groce's inability to "close the deal" on talented recruits one too many time?

In retrospect easier to see where Groce went wrong. Start at his asst. coaches, they were neither great at teaching fundamental and developing players. They were also below average recruiters, they couldn't recruit at Illinois a historical top 15-20 program. Walker eas their top technical coach and recruiter, he was by far the wrakest one on BU's staff.

Groce's team lacked an identity on offense and defense. How many times did we see Malcolm Hill dribble while 4 guys stood around. With no identity/system he struggled to recruit the right guys, typically overloading on wings who couldn't dribble or shoot.

His teams often got blown out and played their best ball when Groce was on the hot seat. That was also when Groce seemed to rely less on his coaches.

Also tenure was impacted due to player discipline issues.

To be fair, I've seen crystal balls unanimously change in a number of hours. Calvin Avery comes to mind. Marquez Beason. If you want to go hoops, THT

Agree....there were many areas that Groce's teams were lacking....the off court issues under Groce were numerous, which is a good indication that he really had little or no control....he was given ample time and opportunity, but failed to produce results....wish him no ill will....but his departure was the beginning of the turn around

Not looking good. Unfortunately, I’m hearing nothing but Kentucky which is probably why not CB changes. Wish I had different news but source is pretty legit
