I guess your post says "who wasn't sure" and I don't think any of us were quite sure, as Underwood had lots of options of who he could start. Don't feel like anyone questioned "Ace's" talent, though.

Most happy with Grandison as still not confident in the 4 until now. He can defend and rebound.

I was pleased with JG and Hawkins played well in his debut. Lets get rest and get after it tomorrow. Not much to complain about. BU played many combinations out there. Going to be a fun year if we stay safe and the NCAA keeps playing

Knew AceWolf had a solid grounded game built on fundamentals, but wow. Well controlled and ran the floor well. He reminds me a little of D'angelo Russell at Ohio St. (Please no he reminds me of Larry Bird).

Over the past 10 years, we are usually beating this level of competition by 15-20 pts and only up by ~10 at halftime. Great to see a beatdown from buzzer to buzzer.

Wish Wright State was still slated for tomorrows game. Was looking for them to be the toughest team we see of these 3. Not sure Chicago State will be worth much more than conditioning.

I feel like this is the first year in a LONG time where we get to let all of the bench guys be bench guys. Recently, every year would include something like “if Hawkins can give 20+ minutes starting at the four”. He just might do that, or Grandison, or Curbelo... but we don’t NEED any of those guys to outperform expectations because of a hole in the roster. Which is nice.

Lieb looked pretty good! He definitely can play! As soon as he gets size watch out! He's gonna leap frog Hamlin I believe! Looked good to me and had great touch with some moves.
