Every year we get punked by this crap program. We have played zero defense. We look lost and out hustled on defense.

Our guys haven't figured out that when there is a single digit number next to their name on the TV, their opponents are going to go balls to the wall.
Mizzou does
Confident that Illini coach is going to reset some things in locker room. I expect Curbalo to sit some in 2nd half. Need more from Adam Miller. Need Ayo to stay in the offense, not switch to hero ball. Still see Illini winning this.
No way to say it other than we got outplayed in every aspect that half. Mizzou with more hustle, better rebounding, better FT shooting and more energy. Happy to be within 10... felt like we shot better than expected from the field and could be down 15. Feels a lot like last year. Want to see our bench and defense come out with the same energy they did at Duke. Let’s get something going because Mizzou is getting everything and anything it wants.
I mean those extra 7 rebounds are off of free throw misses

The defense looks like it did the first 2.5 years of Underwood's tenure. Mizzou is just forming a lay up line out there possession after possession.

When was the last time a Mizzou possession ended with one missed shot? I'm sure it isn't true, but it feels like they've been getting a second chance on every miss for at least the last 10 minutes of that half.
Curbelo still had 12 points for the half. Stop acting like he's the reason we're down. If he wasn't in the game, we'd be losing by more. Ayo can't score all the points

Mizzou is the tougher team, but that’s because they play a physical, foul filled game rather than try to win with talent. We don’t need to our-tough them. Giorgi clearly came out looking to out tough and picked up two dumb fouls. Don’t try to out tough them, out play them.
Changed the channel to check the Florida - LSU game, got to see the football highlights from earlier today. Not what I needed to see right now.
