Todd did some amazing work at Southern Miss before taking the NFL route. Now back in college. I wanted Todd when Lovie got hired. I’d take either Monken.

I thought it needed to be done before the early signing period started. And if a new coach could be in place before then, all the better!

Did he start with 5or 6 fickell/Campbell type guys? Or 5-6 g5 coaches passed on us??

This is where I’m at as far as recruiting the state. If they get a coach that can recruit then highly likely that he’d look in own backyard for recruiting. But I don’t think it has to be a priority per se.

I wouldn't think so. I think best you can get. But is hiring a black coach a priority at all? That was mentioned quite a bit with Lovie.

I agree 100%. The state of MI has guys playing all over the country. From Bama to LSU to USC, to all over the B1G including OSU. I have never heard the comments about U of M and MSU having to lock up the state. Just bring in talent!

I really hope that Josh finds/found a great offensive mind. It seems that great OC get stolen away more than great DC. Or, maybe it's just my impression. I think it is easier to replace a DC.

There is no way that Fickell or Campbell for that matter would give us the time of day? Why would they take on this dumpster fire?

I would agree but if he started at the g5 level and 5-6 guys said no I would be very very worried. Atleast calling guys we know wont come here makes me feel a little better he went through 5 or 6 guys if he started that high.

Something about, "we can't wait, or someone will hire him" type of "emergency". I bet they could use the early signing period as a reason. Players need to know who the coach is. Just spitballin".
