Meet Coach Collins and Coach Combes at the old Chancellor Inn bar at the IHSA state boys basketball tourney....several coaches sitting around having a couple drinks and they came over and joined us....talked basketball for a couple hours....good guys, thanks for your contribution to Illini basketball....RIP Coach Collins

Combes or Coomes? (Harry) Combes died in 1977 and Jimmy didn't come to Illinois until 1983. Mark Coomes coached with Jimmy at both Illinois and UIC.
